Inspired by My Grandparents
My grandparents were high school sweethearts who planned to get married. When the WWII began, everything changed. My grandfather left to serve, and suddenly they were separated by thousands of miles.
Instead of letters alone, they began recording messages for each other — filled with their voices, songs, and expressions of love. Even during the war, they continued sending these recordings back and forth.
After the war, they finally reunited and were married.
More than 60 years later, they were still together.
Today I still have two of those recordings.
